Apple's iPad has begun a revolution in home-automation and audio-visual control. Portable, wireless, full colour touch-screen control has never been so affordable.

US design company iPort have released an in-wall mounting system for the iPad. Called the CM-IW2000 (or CM2000, for short), it neatly and cleverly turns an iPad into a wall mounted touch-screen panel, ideal for controlling audio-visual equipment, home-cinema systems, lighting, heating and much more.

The CM-IW2000 includes charging facilities for the iPad and, as well as keeping the home key and power buttons accessible, it provides an audio output, bringing seamless iTunes integration to your smart home!

This product is ideal for use with the iPad application offered by home-automation specialist Control4.

The iPort CM2000 is available for £469 inclusive of VAT and delivery. Discounts are available if purchased with an iPad and/or control software licenses.
