Hi-fi Systems
It could be argued that dedicated hi-fi systems are somewhat 'out of fashion'. But as audio technology enthusiasts and professionals we truly believe that dedicated high-fidelity music systems simply cannot be beaten for an involving listening experience.
Traditionally hi-fis have always been separate from other home entertinament systems. Now, there is no reason why this must be the case. The biggest quality difference between hi-fi and other sound systems is in the speakers and the amplifiers - very little quality is lost by using a media server or hard disk recorder to store CDs, but the increased convenience means you are far more likely to make use of the hi-fi!
Surround Sound / Home-Cinema Systems
A well set up surround-sound system makes movie watching far more involving and exciting. It draws you into the action, creating an immersive soundscape that can 'transport' you into the scene.
To get the best from a surround system, speakers must be carefully positioned and the system properly calibrated. Sometimes rooms can require acoustic treatment to get the best results.
