Home Audio, Video and Cinema Installations
Gear 7 specializes in high-quality integrated audio-visual systems and can cater for projects from a simple TV and surround sound installation through to a fully automated smart home with multi room sound and video.
Our principle staff members, Chris and Danny, have experience of a wide range of technologies and property-types and will do their best to carry out your installation with as little mess and disruption as possible.
Whether you require a high-quality home-theatre system in your main living area or even a large-screen projector set-up in a dedicated room, we like to think we can bring something extra to the project.
We are able to specify and supply all equipment, or work with what you already have. Our focus is always on a top quality result.
Multi-room HD, TV and Sky Distribution
It is becoming a very common requirement to be able to share sources - such as Sky, Apple TV or Blu-ray players - around the home. We have a number of tried and tested ways of achieving this to suit different budgets.
If you want to be able to play music all around your home, then this is what you need. A range of solutions are available, some suitable for retrofit (such as Sonos or Simple Audio), others offering superb quality (such as Linn DS, Naim Net or Meridian Sooloos) and others offering a fully integrated solution with keypads and remotes (e.g Nuvo, Russound, Niles).
We can install systems from one or two zones through to tens of zones, using ceiling speakers, in-walls, picture speakers, invisible (plastered-over) speakers or - for serious listening rooms - high-end hi-fi equipment.
Music system design is very subjective and so we would recommend that you give us a call to discuss your project and arrange an appointment before making any decisions.
Media servers allow you centrally store all your movies and videos, ready for instantaneous playback around the home. System available include iMerger, Kaleidescape, Mozaex and Evolve.
Our lighting systems allow intuitive control of complex lighting designs and large homes. Rooms with many circuits (e.g. pendants, wall lights, spots and lamps) can be made simple to operate with scene dimmers; and large homes can benefit from 'all off' functions.
Dimming systems can also provide great energy savings, both through reduced power consumption in-use and using occupancy detection to reduce wastage. Modern dimmers can reliable control fluorescent and LED fittings, allowing for further energy savings.
All the above technologies can be brought together by a control system and collectively referred to as a 'home automation' system. However, home automation doesn't stop at av and lighting - it is possible for the unified control system to operate heating, pool pumps, blinds/curtains, gates, cctv and pretty much anything else!
Control interfaces can include keypads, touch screens, remote controls and smart phones or tablets.
